Açaí Farming
Açaí Farming Initiative
Deep in the Amazon tri-border region of Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, many families face daily challenges—limited income, food insecurity, and lack of opportunity. Through our Açaí Farming Initiative, we are helping communities move toward sustainability while sharing the love of Christ in practical ways.
Sustainable Livelihoods. Stronger Families. Gospel-Centered Hope.
Why Açaí Farming?
Açaí is a native Amazon fruit with strong local and global demand. By training families to cultivate açaí sustainably, we help them:
Improve nutrition for children
Generate reliable income
Build long-term self-sufficiency
This initiative is part of our broader mission to serve vulnerable children, youth, and families through holistic ministry while advancing the Gospel
How it Works
Our team partners with local leaders and families to provide hands-on training and resources:
1. Agricultural Training
We teach sustainable farming methods tailored to the Amazon environment, including:
Açaí cultivation and harvesting techniques
Soil management and crop care
Long-term stewardship of land and resources
Families gain practical skills they can use immediately to support their households.
2. Seeds, Tools & Support
We provide essential materials such as:
Açaí seedlings
Farming tools
Ongoing mentorship from missionaries and local leaders
This ensures families are not only trained—but equipped to succeed.
3. Community-Based Development
Our approach is community-centered:
Local indigenous and national leaders co-lead projects
Training is integrated into village life
Families learn together and support one another
This builds ownership and ensures the initiative is culturally relevant and sustainable.
