The Future of the Amazon Is Sitting on These Riverbanks Right Now
And More Than Half of Them Are Children.
In the villages where 3AGL serves, 60–70 % of the people you meet are children and teenagers.
They are bright-eyed, barefoot, and full of dreams — but most have never had a real chance.
School ends at noon.
The river takes their parents away to fish or work.
And the afternoon becomes hours of danger: the current, the jungle, drugs arriving on fast boats, or simply nothing to do and no one to guide them.
That’s why every single day, in every village where we have a church, 3AGL opens its doors after school and says:
“Come. Here you are safe. Here you will grow.”
Our after-school program is more than classes — it is a lifeline.
Every afternoon these children receive:
- Help with homework and extra classes so they don’t fall behind in regular school
- English lessons (the language that opens the world)
- Korean lessons (because Korean churches are the ones who love and support them most)
- Music — guitars, flutes, drums, and voices singing praise
- Sports — soccer, volleyball, running — strong bodies for strong futures
- Bible stories, prayer, and the love of Jesus every single day
All of this for just $10 a month per child.
$10 feeds them a snack, pays the local teacher, buys notebooks, pencils, a soccer ball, and keeps the lights on when the sun goes down.
$10 tells a child on the Amazon River:
“You are not forgotten. You matter. God has a plan for your life.”
Last year we reached hundreds of children.
This year we want to reach thousands.
