The Core Values of 3 AGL

These are the non-negotiable convictions of the Tri-Border Amazon Gospel Lighthouse.

We exist to light gospel fires that burn brightly and independently long after the foreign match has departed—until the whole Amazon reflects the glory of Christ and the nations stream to the Light.   

Soli Deo Gloria – To God alone be the glory! 

  • 1. Exalting the Glory of the Triune God Alone

    The supreme and final aim of 3 AGL is that the one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—be magnified, worshipped, and treasured above all. Every effort, every class, and every church planted exists solely for His glory (1 Cor 10:31; Rom 11:36; Col 1:18).

  • 2. Christ-Centered in Everything

    Jesus Christ is the only Head, the only Savior, and the only Lord of His Church. He is the beating heart of our preaching, teaching, worship, and mission. All authority and all sufficiency are found in Him alone (Eph 1:22–23; Col 1:18; Phil 3:8). 

  • 3. Scripture Alone as Final Authority

    The Bible is God-breathed, inerrant, and fully sufficient. It alone governs our doctrine, church life, mission strategy, and personal conduct. Every tradition and human idea bows to the unchanging Word (2 Tim 3:16–17; Isa 8:20). 

  • 4. The Gospel of Grace Alone to the Ends of the Amazon and the Earth

    Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Our urgent calling as a Gospel Lighthouse is to shine this saving light throughout the tri-border Amazon and beyond, making disciples and planting reproducing churches until Jesus returns (Matt 28:18–20; Rom 1:16; Acts 1:8). 

  • 5. Establishing Fully Autonomous, Self-Sustaining Local Churches

    Like a true lighthouse, we do not remain forever; we equip and then step back. Our passion is to raise up mature, indigenous congregations that are:   

       - Self-governing – led by their own biblically qualified elders   

       - Self-supporting – joyfully sustained by the tithes and offerings of their members   

       - Self-propagating – sending out their own missionaries and planting new lighthouses   

       This is the biblical pattern that magnifies Christ as the true Builder and Sustainer of His Church (Acts 14:23; 2 Cor 9:6–8; Matt 16:18). 

  • 6. Love and Merciful Service in the Name of Jesus

    Faith works through love. We love God supremely and love our neighbor tangibly—especially the poorest, the orphaned, the widowed, and the unreached river and jungle peoples of the Amazon (Matt 22:37–40; Jas 1:27; Gal 6:10). 

  • 7. Total Dependence on the Holy Spirit and Prayer

    Apart from Christ we can do nothing. We reject self-reliance and the allure of foreign funds as the engine of ministry, depending instead on fervent prayer and the Spirit’s power to save and strengthen (John 15:5; Zech 4:6; Phil 4:6–7).

  • 8. Uncompromising Integrity and Faithful Stewardship

    Every gift, every real, every dollar belongs to God. We administer all resources with absolute transparency and accountability so that Christ’s name is honored and the gospel is never hindered (2 Cor 8:20–21; 1 Pet 4:10). 

  • 9. The Unity and Maturity of Christ’s Body

    We labor to see believers grow into Christ’s likeness, united in truth and love, equipped by national leaders, and joyfully living out the “one another” life of the New Testament church (Eph 4:11–16; John 17:21–23; Acts 2:42–47).
