A New Year of Mission: Growing Leaders and Churches in the Amazon

A New Year in the Amazon
As a new year begins, the team expresses gratitude for continued partnership in advancing the Gospel across the Amazon. Despite challenges in the past year, the mission remains focused on fulfilling the Great Commission in one of the most remote regions of the world.
Seminary & Church Growth
The Amazon Tri-Border Seminary continues to equip leaders:
Two semesters were completed, with several graduating students and trained women leaders
Regional seminars reached indigenous church leaders in remote villages
Ongoing challenges include declining enrollment as students pursue free government education
Church ministry is also expanding:
Multiple church construction projects are progressing across villages
A new second church in Tabatinga is being planned as both a ministry center and community hub
Leadership responsibilities have increased, requiring prayer and support for organizational growth
Sustainable Development & Farming Ministry
A major milestone was achieved as the ministry farm became officially registered as a business entity, enabling expanded operations:
Livestock, poultry, aquaculture, and agriculture initiatives are underway
A tractor has been purchased to scale farming operations
Efforts are in progress to supply food to local schools, which could generate income and create jobs for graduates
These initiatives are designed not only for sustainability but also to support local communities and ministry outreach.
Prayer & Ongoing Needs
Our key prayer requests:
Recruiting committed seminary students
Completing church construction projects
Securing land for a new church in Tabatinga
Expanding farming operations and partnerships
Health concerns within the missionary family
The long-term vision remains:
Train 150 leaders
Build 100 churches
Send 10 missionaries
